Rev. Darla Sloan
Pastor and Community Liaison
Before entering ministry, Darla taught English and French as a second language in Vancouver and Quebec City. She was ordained by the Montreal and Ottawa Conference of The United Church of Canada in 2001 and has served in congregational, university, hospital, and prison ministries. She also worked at the General Council of the United Church as Responsable des Ministères en français and, since 2019, serves as Honorary Ecumenical Assistant at Église Saint-Michael Anglican Church in Québec City.
Darla has completed training to deepen her skills in transformational leadership, particularly in intercultural, ecumenical, and interreligious contexts. She has led workshops and retreats for parishes and Synods, and was sent to Paris by the Kaleidoscope Institute for an international session with Les Sœurs de la retraite.
Currently, Darla is the Community Liaison for MCM's Quebec City Antenna, building ecumenical and interfaith partnerships and developing projects.
