Camp Cosmos is a day camp program of Montreal City Mission for children of families with low-income, many of whom are from newly arrived refugee or single-parent families.
Program Description:
In existence for over thirty years, the camp enjoys an excellent reputation in the community for innovative programming and high quality staff. This summer Camp Cosmos will run for 6 weeks. We offer up to 65 places for children between the ages of 5 and 11 and up to eight spaces for children with special needs.
The camp is a member of the Quebec Camping Association, which requires that it meet high standards for quality in the areas of programming, staff training, security and administration.
Environmental Education:
Environmental education is a fundamental part of our camp. We minimize the negative environmental impacts of our camp by reducing, reusing and recycling. Our campers learn about environmental responsibility through fun games and activities and the strong example of their councillors.
